Thank you God, For Making Rain That Make The Flowers Grow....

This line is in a book that Avery has, and I thought it was appropriate. We've lived in this house for almost a year and never seen these two plants sprout flowers! I just thought it was pretty.

The taller one is called a Purple Sage and it will only bloom with adequate RAIN! It almost always has to be rain water, not just water from the hose. I don't know why, but that's how it works.
The other one is a salvia plant and it doesn't bloom super often either. I've never heard anything about it needing to have RAIN water to bloom but perhaps it's the same way?

That's so funny - we do water these plants regularly but it didn't bloom until this last rain. The purple sage is a really pretty plant, I love the gray leaves it has, they are really soft to the touch, And the purple blooms are just beautiful! Thanks for the info!!!
