Pregnancy Scare #2

Friday, I had noticed some pains in my stomach that were similiar to menstrual cramps. My hip joints had also begun to hurt quite a bit. I was texting my sister in law back and forth about it and she finally convinced me to at least call the doctor. Apparently, menstrual cramps are not a normal part of your third trimester, so I went ahead and called just in case. They had me come in right away, just to get checked out. As soon as they told me to come on in to the office, my heart started racing and I got very nervous. I was scared they were going to tell me something was wrong. When I got there, they immediately took me in to the sonograph room and took some pictures of Avery. Whew. There she is, looking good! The sonograph nurse told me that everything seemed to be fine, my cervix looked long and closed (which means I hadn't started dialating - good thing) but that the baby looked to be frank breech. For those of you who had no clue what that meant, I have attached a picture. I...

First Real Pregnancy Scare

This last weekend marked my official trip into my 3rd trimester. My pregnancy has pretty much played out like a text book pregnancy. The first trimester was marked by mood swings and sickness. The week I entered my 2nd trimester, my sickness pretty much went away and I got all of my energy back. My 3rd trimester is proving to also be a different stage, however, I must say, the further I get into this pregnancy, the more fear I have and the more I am scared by even the slightest change. Yesterday, I had noticed Avery's movements had changed. Before, I would feel very distinctive kicks pretty much all day. Yesterday, I hadn't felt Avery move in a long time. All day, I had a cramp in my stomach. When we got home from work, we decided to go on a walk. I had to stop a couple of times because the cramp in my stomach had gotten worse, like Avery had moved down really far and it was very painful. I hadn't really felt "pain" before, it was more just an uncomfortable feel...

29 Week Belly Picture

Wow, am I only 11 weeks away from having a baby?? I can't believe it. I know I am not looking the best I have ever looked, but here I am anyway!

The Lake and New Belly Picture

We went to the lake with Brooke, Dave and Leslie this last weekend. It was kind of a last minute thing and since Jason and I haven't been anywhere this summer, we decided it was a good idea. Basically, we spend the whole weekend doing nothing. Jason and Dave worked on the boat and then Sunday, they took the boat out tubing. I wasn't going to go out on the boat, for obvious reasons, until Dave found this HUGE tube meant for three people. I managed to get on and off without having to get in the water. Dave promised he would go slow, which he did, so I could at least get pulled around. This tube was pretty cool, it was hardly bouncy at all and I just stayed on the back and relaxed. Then, right after we were done, the boat ran out of gas. So we used his trolling motor to get back to the dock. Took about 20 minutes, but was certainly relaxing. Hot, but relaxing. I took another belly pic. I am 25 weeks and 4 days today. I have a little over 14 weeks until Avery comes to see us! ...

You want WHAT to come out of WHICH now?

Jason and I started taking child birth classes last week. I am sorry, I do not have any pictures of this to show you, not that it would really matter if I had pictures. It's not like what I thought, or how they look like on the tv. At least, mine isn't. The funny part is that the first night, they had us bring a pillow and blanket. We were all prepared to get on the floor and work on breathing exercises. The nurse teaching the class promptly informed us that blankets and pillows would not be necessary, as no mother actually gets down on the floor during labor. Hmm, good point. So last week, we talked about contractions, the hospital and what to expect to bring with you, that sort of thing. This week, we watched two videos, one to show us the 4 stages of labor and one to show a natural child birth, start to finish. Let me just tell you, watching the labor wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And let me ALSO tell you, as much as I love my unborn child, she will not be comi...

It's A Girl!!

I am excited to announce that Jason and I will be having a girl! We are so happy and just can't wait for our little bundle of joy. She will be a Thanksgiving baby! It's pretty funny actually, the kids were in the room when we found out: Sophia clapped and said "YAY!" and Jordan said "Awe man!" We also shared the news that they will need to share a room for a few months, hopefully that won't be too much of a big deal. But now I get to go shopping and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Belly Pics and More

Well, I am finally posting some pictures of the belly, the dogs, and the kids. I am so behind on all of this, it's ridiculous. I am not a picture taker, never have been. So it takes time for me to remember! First, I am 19 weeks as of Saturday and this is what my belly looks like a week ago. I don't feel like I am that big for being almost halfway done with my pregnancy, but people keep telling me I am tall and that I am going to carry it differently. We will see! Tomorrow is the big day, we will find out if my sisters will be aunts or uncles! (That was a joke off a television show, but I can't remember which one.) Here are some pictures of Bella and Molly. I just love them and think they are so cute, so I had post some pictures. We went to a parade on Saturday for July 4th. We had a lot of fun there, the kids got some candy and it went well! Here are some pictures..... Here is Jordan's typical outfit as of late. Camo hat and his leather bag h...

Stress and Worry

About a year and a half ago, I was single, I lived alone, no dog, no boyfriend, nothing. I remember being stressed out and worried alot. Thinking back on it now, I don't remember exactly what I was that stressed out about. I think probably everyone is always stressed out about money, but my stress about money was more like, will I be able to go out tonight? What can I sacrifice so I can go to that movie? Will I be able to buy something new today? Will I be able to pay for my tanning membership this month? Not that those worries were silly, those were just the worries I had when I had no responsibilities in my life. Those were the worries at that time I was concerned about. I have received a taste of worry this year with Jason, introducing the kids, wondering when he lost his job how we were going to pay for both apartments, how the kids will have health insurance, how will we buy groceries for the kids that aren't just a bunch of junk. I mean, I got a taste of what it is like f...

Sonogram Pictures

I know many of you already saw these pictures, but I wanted to post a blog to go along with it. So, I have to say. On a coolness scale of 1-10, this experience was a 25. It is absolutely amazing to me that there is an actual child in me that has legs, arms, a brain, and is moving around! And that Jason and I MADE THAT! It really is amazing how God works and how He created things to be. I am so happy that everything is normal, my bloodwork came back great, so now, we are just waiting to find out the sex! I still have no inkling one way or the other. Some days I say boy, some I say girl. Whatever it is, I will be a happy camper. I will take a picture of my belly, not that there is one yet, but I will post my 8 week pictures and now my 12 week picture. Can't believe this is happening, I am so excited!

First Pregnancy Update

I am really going to try hard not to be one of those people who only talks about being pregnant, but let's face it. When you get pregnant, your social life goes into the pooper. So there isn't much else to talk about. You don't feel like going out, especially not the first 12 weeks, and when you do feel like being social, it lasts for a mere moment because you are tired 10 minutes later. Plus, it stinks to be the only one that isn't able to have fun. I swear, my life has changed so much in the past 3 weeks, from the wedding and now this pregnancy. But, small sacrifices, right? So, this whole time, so far, has been pretty easy on me. I don't spend all day being sick, I don't really crave anything weird and I have been eating relatively well. But this week, morning sickness set in. I don't feel nauseated most of the time, but then all of the sudden, I have "the urge" and have to rush immediately into the bathroom. I count my blessings because it coul...

Our new addition!!!

Well, apparently God didn't think 2010 was a big enough year for us, what with me turning 30 and Jason and I getting married. He decided we needed to throw a baby in just for good measure! Jason and I found out that we are expecting November 27th! After the initial shock wore off that we have only been married a couple of weeks, we are both incredibly excited to welcome our new little peanut! We went to the doctor on Friday, heard the heartbeat (which was amazing) and got some blood work done (which all came back perfect!). So now, we are just waiting! I am feeling very good, considering small bouts of nausea, but nothing compared to horror stories I have heard. I am just ready to find out if it's a boy or a girl! I am trying to upload the sonogram picture, but it isn't working out too well...I will keep everyone posted on updates to come!!! What a blessing!!
