New Addition to The Pecor Fam!

Since my sister announced to the social media world, I can do it too! My brother in law Dave and my sister Brooke are expecting their first baby in July! We are all so excited and I just can't wait to get my arms around that baby!   I think this peanut and Avery are going to make quite the pair!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

We've had Jason's parents and grandmother staying with us this week and it's been really nice! I still have one more day off, which will make 5 in a row. It's been so nice! We went to my mom and dad's for a little while on Christmas Eve. This was the first Christmas I've spent away from my family, which was a little hard to get used to. But we did manage to get together on Christmas Eve, even for a few hours. This year was also the first year I made almost all my Christmas presents!! Here are the ones I made... This one was for my mother in law. It's a favorite verse for her. This one was for my sister. She travels alot and just moved into a new apartment, so I asked her what states she's been to so we could make some art for her apartment. There is one flaw in this picture that I didn't notice until later, can you find it? These two things turned out so good. It was my first time to use Modge Podge (made my own for 74 cents!) and it was a...

Breakfast with Mommy

Praise God, we found a new babysitter for Avery! I was NOT looking forward to it. At all. I cried. A couple of times. The most nerve wracking thing is finding someone you trust and like to watch your child for you. And when there aren't alot of options to choose from, you just pray God will bring the right person in your life. When I was looking for Pam, there was just something about her. I couldn't explain it, but I got a good "vibe" from her. It's like when you find the right man to marry, or wedding dress - you just know. She has turned out to be such a blessing for our family, especially during Avery's first year, when she was so tiny and I almost couldn't take dropping her off with someone else. Well, with change comes heartache sometimes. I started searching for someone else in GP. I had 3 options - I only use people accredited by the state, since they still get inspected at random every year. The first option was SOOOO close to my house. The sec...

Updates About ME!!!

I don't have any great pictures to show today, so I thought I would tell you guys what I've been up to. Well, I think we found a house! I was having a bit of a panic attack that our lease was up at the end of October and we had no place to move, so I posted something on Facebook about needing a place. Within minutes, a friend of our family said, "we have a house! It's the house I grew up in, but if you are interested, let us know." Here is a picture... So, yes, it's older and yes, it's a little smaller. But it's $500 less than what we are paying now, in the right area, and with no security deposit. Um, yes please! It's got a huge backyard with big trees, which is exactly what we wanted more than anything. But this will give us a great chance to put some money aside, so next year, we can (hopefully) buy. The papers are not signed, but I am hoping it works out! Avery's birthday is in two months. Yes, on Friday she will be 10 months old and he...

Just Stuff

Hmmm...what to write, what to write. What to write about tonight? I was a little bit upset tonight - I am totally down with The Sing Off on NBC but got a little upset when I realized I had missed my boy Ashton on Two and a Half Men. But The Sing Off will be awesome this season! I thought I would post some randonmess... Here is a picture of Jason and Avery at Jordan's soccer game. Don't let this fool you - Jason is always standing up on the sidelines. But for right now - he was sitting next to Avery. Avery just sits and plays.....  Jordan playing... A good picture of Avery's little ponytail.... I don't usually post pics of Avery in the bath, but this one was WAY too cute not to... Avery doing what she does best, letting go and standing by herself!! Have a great Tuesday!!

Washers On Saturday

We went to my parents house today and my mom got washers for us to play with. Washers is a cool game!!! I'll have you know that I am proclaiming myself the washers champion! I did get beat twice, but I let them win. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Yes mom, I know you beat me. Yes, I know I cheated. You don't have to remind me. My mom got the kids these styrofoam airplanes - Jordan named is the Hovering Arrow. Sophia was allowed to stand closer because she was younger and wasn't doing very well. I think she is a Washers shark because she started to do really well and came very close to beating me one game. She got moved to the adult spot after that. Jenna - THe Washers Champion! Avery was very tired after. Don't you just love how she's crossing her legs? She is doing that alot lately.

Ridin' The Rails

When you ride the vintage railroad at the Fort Worth Stockyards.... You gotta have your guns.... You gotta have your posse.... You gotta have your Blue Bell... And you gotta have your Cowboys. I am so excited to be moving closer to Fort Worth again. I love just walking around down there. We had such a great time riding the train!! I think Jason and I might have to do the round trip from Grapevine to Forth Worth one day, just the two of us!!

It was a very good day.

I love it when God smiles upon us. I mean, He smiles upon us all the time. But sometimes, it's like sunshine, and Christmas morning, and rainbows, and babies, and awesomeness. On steroids. And I know that those times are not always permanent, so I learn to really wrap myself in His goodness, to take it all in, be happy, and just sit back and wait to see what He is going to do in my life. We have been struggling so long. I knew it was only a matter of time before things would be OK again. Where we would feel a little stability. Where we would take all of the things we learned while struggling and apply then when times are good. We have alot of great things going on in our lives right now. Some really great things. Some amazing, mindblowing, off the grid kind of great things. I wish I could share more, but for right now, let's just say that we are incredibly blessed with some great opportunities God is putting in our lives. I leave you with a gorgeous picture of our biggest bl...
