Sharing My Jennarocity

Avery is one year old today. I still can't believe that it's been a year already. It feels like it's gone by so fast, but it's been such a great year. Whenever I look at Avery, all I can think is "God's Grace." With all I've done in my life, I didn't deserve such a great blessing in her. But God blessed me anyway and trusted me with the greatest daughter in the world. She is such a huge joy in my life. So beautiful, so smart. I am such a lucky woman to have her in my life. Avery, you are so smart. You started walking about three weeks ago and haven't looked back since! Your favorite thing to do is pick up something in both hands and just carry it around the house. You also love to take things out of other things - like folded clothes in drawers, toys in boxes - or take things off other things - like remotes off coffee tables, or anything else you can get ahold of. You can say alot of words now and love to copy us. If we tell you to say so...

CAN THIS BE??? My daughter will be a year old, gulp, in a MONTH?? No. It can't be. But, it is. Avery is 11 months old today! Avery was WAY too busy to be bothered with being photographed today. But, we did the best we could! We had Soph behind us to help make Avery smile. Here she is copying her sister... Sticking her tongue out... Hey daddy... Nope, You will NOT take a picture of me smiling today, even if I have to stick my hands in my mouth... Oh. Bravo sister. Bravo. Ok. I might smile today. Daddy's and daughters. Ahhh! What are you doing to me??? Ok. I am done. And I am going to play. Avery, you love to play. LOVE to play. You are all over the place, all the time. You don't generally like your toys these days, though, you like whatever you are NOT supposed to play with. Like, our cell phones, the remote control, wires, cups with stuff in them, curtains, blinds, the dog's toys, the DVD player, little bits of paper on the floor that your sister ...

Oh my goodness - my daughter is 10 months old today! I can't believe how fast this year is flying by... Avery is a happy, happy, happy little girl. She loves to shake her head no, loves to dance, and loves to be thrown around (thanks to her daddy!) She is starting to learn to say "uh-oh" and can say "momma" and "dada" and usually use it within the right context! She stands up all the time and can stand by herself for a pretty long period. She loves to slap her belly when she's naked while standing up. And she goes, "Oh,oh,oh." We say, "ho! ho! ho!" cause she looks like Santa with that big old belly! She eats anything and everything we give her. There is NOTHING she doesn't like to eat (obviously, the little chunkster!) She loves to give kisses now. She will even give you a kiss without having to ask for it! She is just the light of our lives and we can't wait to watch her grow! Published with Blogger-droid...

Happy 9 Month Birthday, Little Missy! Avery did not want to smile for me today. This was the only picture she smiled in. And the quality of these pictures turned out very poor. But, it is what it is. Avery is becoming a very opinionated, very independant little girl! She wants what she wants when she wants it. I am not sure if that is her personality or just how babies are at this age, when they realize that there are things around them and they want them, now, now NOW! Or they cry when they don't want to lay down long enough for them to change their clothes. Or when they don't want to go to sleep. But, that's how she is! She hates getting her shirts changed now, she hates being stationary, even for a few seconds! And she has found her voice, so she is going through a squealing, screaming phase. She is starting to learn the word "no" more lately. Like when she screams in the car at the top of her lungs just because she wants out - we have to say, "No Avery...

I really hate to say this, but I am not a fan of these pictures. They didn't turn out well at all. It was very early on Saturday morning, I was tired, Avery was tired, and I was trying to take these pictures quickly, as I knew that very soon, the house would be overtaken by 6 kids under 10 and I wouldn't be able to take them at all. One kid did manage to distract her, but I liked her face, so I kept it! I couldn't find a good blanket for a background, but here is the best one of the bunch. Now this picture, I do love. This is SO her position lately. Up on that one leg, just about to take off. So this picture, I do love.  I made a promise to myself before Avery was born that I wasn't going to keep retaking pictures of memories, only to find the right one. And when I did her "month" pictures, I said, no matter what or how bad pictures turned out, this is her, on this day and it's a memory I want to remember. So, here they are. I mean, they are AL...

Happy 7 Month Birthday Avery!!

There once was a girl who was very alone. She met a boy, they fell in love, and got married. The girl found out she was going to have a baby. She was very scared.

Dear Avery, Today, you are 5 months old. I can not believe how fast time is flying by! I am trying to take in every minute. You make me so very happy, every day, I can't wait to see your smiling face and I miss you after you go to sleep at night. You are started to love the sound of your voice and so do I! You are coming up with the most sweet sounds these days. I think you are really close to sitting up, you are almost there!! I just can't tell you how cool you are, how beautiful you are, and how much I love you. Love, Mommy
