Bored

Do you ever just find yourself bored? Not like, unhappy bored, just like a "nothing really out of the ordinary or interesting has happened lately" bored. Or a "I need to find something to pour my creativity into" bored.

I keep trying to figure out a way to incorporate working out into something fun I can do besides just thinking about it as exercise. It's really not the easiest thing to do.

I would really like to go somewhere. It's been such a long time since I've taken an actual vacation. I suppose you could call Seattle a "vacation" but I am talking about without children, just me and my husband. Do you know we've never been on a vacation together? Now that's just sad. I am keeping my eyes peeled for ultra good deals on hotels and flights, so we will see where that leads us.

I feel bad because I haven't posted in a few days and I haven't taken a picture of Avery since Saturday. So, if I am not posting about Avery or a picture of her, I guess I just don't post at all? That's sad too. So, here is my "wish list" post of projects I have on my brain to do and places I wish Jason and I could go on a trip.

PROJECTS:

Paint my wall in my bedroom
Get new curtains (for several areas of the house)
Subway art in our living room with the words to "Stay With You" by John Legend (what we danced to at our wedding)
Redo dresser in bedroom
Redo Table in kitchen
Make a patio table from scratch
Finish word art for dining room
Finish paintings for bedroom
Paint mirror black for bedroom

I am tired already!

PLACES TO VISIT:

Jason's uncle and aunt live in Hawaii and they came over to have dinner with us last night. Their son is going to DBU this semester so they came to drop him off. They told us we need to hurry and visit just in case they are called somewhere else! Um, ok!

My friend April just moved to a large townhome in New Jersey but it's still a real close trip to Manhattan. She has a one year old too and insisted Jason and I fly out to visit her and her husband. Um. ok!

My friend Nikki lives in Tennessee and we were talking about meeting up somewhere to have another girls' weekend. Where? Who knows and who cares!!!

Jason and I want to take the kids to stay in a cabin in Brokenbow, OK this year. No kidding, they ALL look like this one!

Man, I better get busy!

The only vacation my hubby and I have been on together was our honeymoon-but we've only been married for two years :) But, my list of projects is SO LONG thanks to Pinterest that I'll never have time for anything again! There are tons of subway art prints on there-I'm sure you could find somebody to make you one!

It was a very good day.

I love it when God smiles upon us. I mean, He smiles upon us all the time. But sometimes, it's like sunshine, and Christmas morning, and rainbows, and babies, and awesomeness. On steroids. And I know that those times are not always permanent, so I learn to really wrap myself in His goodness, to take it all in, be happy, and just sit back and wait to see what He is going to do in my life. We have been struggling so long. I knew it was only a matter of time before things would be OK again. Where we would feel a little stability. Where we would take all of the things we learned while struggling and apply then when times are good. We have alot of great things going on in our lives right now. Some really great things. Some amazing, mindblowing, off the grid kind of great things. I wish I could share more, but for right now, let's just say that we are incredibly blessed with some great opportunities God is putting in our lives. I leave you with a gorgeous picture of our biggest bl

What is Your Skin Care Regimen?

Since turning 34 this year, I've been really trying to make sure I am taking care of my skin. I have been using Cover Girl Liquid Powder for years, but it always seemed to break my neck out. And full disclosure, my face cleaning routine consisted of using Avery's baby wipes (which actually do remove eye makeup surprisingly well). So, needless to say, my skin didn't always look its best.   So, I received some gift cards for my birthday and I decided to go ahead and spring for some better products. First thing I did was get something designed to clean my face. I ordered the Olay ProX Microdermabrasion System.     This system came with the battery-operated scrubber with both a brush and foam pad, plus every day face wash and microdermabrasion wash to be used twice a week. I have really loved using this system. The beauty is that you can really use any face wash you'd like. I will probably buy a pore-reducing wash after the tube they sent me is empty. This syst

Dancing With Dad

I have been working on a project these last couple of weeks for my previous company. Yesterday, I was working on my computer and heard roaring laughter coming from Avery's room. I walk in and found Jason and Avery dancing and singing away.   By sheer coincidence, this popped up on my Timehop today. Avery was only 1 in this picture. Boy, are these kiddos lucky to have such a great dad! It makes me heart melt.
