Another Dining Room Switcheroo

So, I moved stuff around. Again.   Here is was before...   And after. Subtle, I know.     I basically switched the curtains out with the ones in the office and moved the cabinet from the breakfast nook to the wall.   I put the crosses somewhere else...   And put out some Valentine's pics and artwork.   I also put out my red chargers and runner for V-Day.   We will see how long it stays this way. :-)

Great Weekend with the Kids

This past weekend was a 3-dayer for us, and we had all three kiddos, which is always nice. Sophia and I got a chance to spend alot of time together. We have discovered a few things we have in common these days and both mutually love - Cupcake Wars and musicals. So, we watched Cupcake Wars at home and went to see Into The Woods one day also! Sophia is honestly one of the most positive and upbeat kids/people I know. It's really refreshing being around her!!     Not sure why, but it's taken my daughter up till now to discover the goodness that is cereal with milk. Usually, she just eats it dry. Well, we had cereal for dinner on this evening (don't judge me!) and she had two bowls. For those that don't know, cereal is my absolute favorite food in the world. I am glad to see her following in her mom's footsteps.   And in other news, this handsome almost-teenager got his braces off! And he got this awesome new peacoat. This kid is so cool - I am lov...

4 Year Olds - New Levels of Independence and Insight

We've reached a new level of independence in our house. Having a four year old has been so neat - along with her new found freedom to do things on her own, we've enjoyed having very cool conversations and tonight, we actually played a board game to completion that she played on her own. Candy Land is GREAT for four year olds! We also started learning about good sportsmanship. She lost a turn and went off a sulked and pouted. We told her people don't like to play with people who aren't good sports! Her dad, to prove a point, got "upset" when he didn't get his way and threw his cards on the ground. She said, "Why did you do that, dad? We don't act that way!" and picked his cards up off the ground. She said, "Don't worry, you'll win next time!" It was so good to see that she was getting it.     Not super sure why she felt the need to bundle up, but she did.   Avery is at an age where she can change her clothes comp...

My Evening View

The kids have always loved to lay on Jason. Avery is certainly no exception.   They have a long history of snuggling on the couch...   Of course, they don't look exactly like this now...     She's grown just a bit.   It still melts my heart, just the same.

Family Pictures, Fall 2014

I just realized that I never shared the gorgeous pictures that Amanda Wells Photography did for us this year! We loved the way they came out and I can't wait to do it again!     Once again, we love you Amanda and thank you for the great pictures!

2014 In Review

Avery spent her first full year in big kid school! She has loved learning new things and comes home every day telling us of great things she's done. In the fall, she started at a new school and goes four days a week. We will keep her in this school until she starts kindergarten!         I got my Real Estate license and became a licensed Realtor!     It has been an entirely new experience for me and I am so glad about this new phase of life!!   Jason and I got to go on two trips together this year, which is a huge blessing and we are so excited to be able to spend that time together. We celebrated four years of marriage in Las Vegas and went to the beach in Fort Lauderdale!       As a family, we took our first long road trip to the Grand Canyon!! We had such a great week of time together.       I did a lot of decorating for our house this year!!     ...
