I am not telling you how old I am today. No, I am not 23. But I will give you some hints:
The Steelers won the Superbowl (beat the Rams 31-19) the year I was born.
George Bush senior was elected President the year I turned 8.
"The Sign" by Ace of Base was the number one song of the year when I was a freshman in 1994.
"Lord of the Rings, Return of the King" was the top grossing movie the year I actually turned 23.
If you can't get my age from these clues, then I guess you don't deserve to know how hold I am.
Anyway, we had a low key night to celebrate my birthday. My parents came over for dinner, then some friends of mine, Kate, Phillip, Robyn, and Jasmine came all the way down from McKinney to hang out with me!!! It was so nice to get to hang out. We stayed up talking until about 1 am, and Avery woke us up around 5:45. Needless to say, I've spent my actual birthday today quite tired. I have a feeling when Avery goes to bed in a few hours, we will be too.
Today, Avery learned some new tricks. First, she started saying "mote" (for remote). Then, she started saying "no, uh-uh." Cause that's what we tell her. Then, she started posing. She would turn her back to us, then throw us a model look over her shoulder and smile. So we would say, "Can you pose?" And now, she's posing! It's so cute.
