Well, hello! It's been a while since I've blogged, not because nothing is going on but because I just have been preoccupied with some other things. I was asked this year to participate in the Grand Prairie Women's Club Christmas Tour of Homes. It was such an honor to be asked, and of course my first thought was I'd love to! This is right up my alley. After about a day of Christmas decorating, I was asking myself "what did I say yes to??" I was very excited about the event and couldn't wait to get to know some new people but it took a lot of work and preparation to get my house ready. Many people paid money to see this tour, but I'm going to give you a picture tour for FREE! How lucky do you feel right now??
Our living room took on a red and gold theme. I found myself using a lot of those colors throughout the area.
The breakfast nook had a gold and white theme. I really loved how this tree and space turned out. With all of the candles lit, and the glow of the tree and lamp, it was really pretty.
We opened up this space and added some bar stools, which we have loved....extra kid seating has been nice.
This little Yule Post was one I got at one of my estate sales and I fell in love. You can tell it's been loved for many years and I loved that I'm the new owner. It encouraged me to make a little village and those pictures are vintage Christmas card images I printed.
It's a good thing turquoise and red is a Christmas thing this year because it went so great together.
Santa is doing his due diligence by carting around a bottle of wine.
I've always envisioned my hall with a picture gallery. All of these images (21 to be exact) are Christmas pictures of our family over the years and I love it. The frames are Dollar Tree document frames, I printed the pictures on my printer, then hot glued the twine to the frames and added the bows. It probably cost me $25 and added such a personal touch to my décor this year.
I'm not sure I've ever posted a picture of Sophia's room. One day I'll do a before and after because her room had the most atrocious wallpaper at one time! It's come a long way.
I love that little antler head, it was $3 at the dollar section of Target and it is such addition to a girl's room.
Jordan's room is very understated, red, black and white. Simple.
Avery's room has received a huge makeover these last couple of months. Lime green walls and a huge chalk wall! I've loved that wall, and so do the kids.
And of course, my private oasis. I get more comments about this room than any other, mainly because of the color. I still love this room, it's a relaxing space where we love spending time.
Well, that's it! I hope you enjoyed my tour! Merry Christmas!!
