My Beautiful New Family

Last year, actually on New Year's Eve, I called my dad sobbing because of how sad I was that was spending another holiday alone. I told him I was lonely and upset that I might never find anyone. I told him I felt hopeless of ever finding love. Isn't it funny how life works out? God knows our paths and knew, in that moment of hopelessness, I would find Jason 3 months later. Not only that, He knew I would also have two beautiful children I would have the honor to help raise. What a blessing that was! My relationship was completely unexpected. Had I only known Jason was coming, I don't know that I would have acted such the fool only 3 months before. It reminds me in life of all the time we jump to conclusions, or think things are so bad or will never get better, and suddenly, we look up and they are. I am so glad to have Jason, Jorden and Sophia in my life. I am glad for my new extended family, Robert, Shari, Scotty, Faith, Isom, Robert, Kadin, and Jax. I am also blessed by my Dad, Mom, Brooke, Leslie and Dave. And of course, by my sweet puppies Bella and Molly. I have some many people to be joyous about. Thank you God, for the blessing of family.

What is Your Skin Care Regimen?

Since turning 34 this year, I've been really trying to make sure I am taking care of my skin. I have been using Cover Girl Liquid Powder for years, but it always seemed to break my neck out. And full disclosure, my face cleaning routine consisted of using Avery's baby wipes (which actually do remove eye makeup surprisingly well). So, needless to say, my skin didn't always look its best. So, I received some gift cards for my birthday and I decided to go ahead and spring for some better products. First thing I did was get something designed to clean my face. I love it when God smiles upon us. I mean, He smiles upon us all the time. But sometimes, it's like sunshine, and Christmas morning, and rainbows, and babies, and awesomeness. On steroids. And I know that those times are not always permanent, so I learn to really wrap myself in His goodness, to take it all in, be happy, and just sit back and wait to see what He is going to do in my life. We have been struggling so long. I knew it was only a matter of time before things would be OK again. Where we would feel a little stability. Where we would take all of the things we learned while struggling and apply then when times are good. We have alot of great things going on in our lives right now. Some really great things. Some amazing, mindblowing, off the grid kind of great things. Why I am Pro Universal Healthcare and Changes to Our Healthcare System

Due to my recent proactivity with my credit and paying off debt, I decided to give the hospital a call where I was admitted about a month ago and ask about my bill. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss it in the mail and I wanted to get an idea of what I'd be paying for my stay. I get on the phone with the billing department and the woman is just as nice as can be, really. She was surprised I'd even called her, considering I didn't even have a bill yet. She told me she'd sent the bill over to my insurance to be approved and paid but they hadn't heard back yet.
